Nexgen ProTrader Funding Is Closing: Official Wind-Down, Partial Payouts, Legends Transition
On 2 October 2026, Nexgen ProTrader Funding posted an official shutdown notice. The firm says it ran out of money after losing credit-card processing in August and could not recover. New account sales already ended on 1 October 2026 at 5 PM ET. CME live data is disconnected. Existing accounts can no longer trade.
This is not a rumor thread. It is a first-party wind-down. PropScorer has archived the Nexgen firm page and the Nexgen review. Do not buy a Nexgen eval, reset, instant, or funded account. The product is closed.
Do not fund this firm
Nexgen is no longer selling evaluations, funded accounts, Semi-Live accounts, or resets. Trading is off. Approved payouts will not be paid in full. Treat any leftover checkout page as stale.
What Nexgen said, in plain English
- Cause: the firm says it ran out of money after card processing failed in August.
- Sales: new evals, funded, Semi-Live, resets, and other programs stopped 1 Oct 2026, 5 PM ET.
- Trading: CME data disconnected; accounts cannot trade from that date.
- Discord: closed for prop participants.
- Approved payouts: remaining cash is not enough to pay all approved payouts in full. Nexgen will offer a percentage settlement instead of paying some traders 100% and others 0%.
- Semi-Live: no refunds. Eligible active Semi-Live accounts are supposed to get a complimentary Legends Prop Firm Elite account via Greg Khojikian / GFF Brokerage / Legends.
- Active evaluations: not moved to Legends. Nexgen says it will refund eligible active eval purchases.
- Live cash: close and reconcile through GFF Brokerage; pay applicable live profit shares.
What this means if you still have money in the pipeline
Watch email from Nexgen and Legends. Screenshot balances, approved-payout notices, eval invoices, and Discord DMs before channels disappear. If you have an approved payout, the official path is a haircut settlement, not a full wire. If you have an active eval, the official path is a refund of that eval โ not a replacement funded account. If you are Semi-Live, the official path is a Legends Elite account under Legends rules, not a Nexgen refund.
Community reaction on the announcement post is ugly for a reason: Nexgen was still selling discounted insta-funded product days before the close, and traders say public streams still claimed stability. That does not change the wind-down math. It does change how much trust you should give any remaining โwe will make you wholeโ language. Get the written settlement terms before you accept.
PropScorer scoring change
Nexgen is no longer an active futures listing. PropScore is moved to the bottom of the board and the review is rewritten as a closed-firm record. A 1-day pass, EOD drawdown, and CQG/AMP stack do not matter if the firm cannot process cards or pay approved withdrawals. Rankings should not keep a dead firm in the shopping set.
If you need a live futures firm instead
Do not treat the Legends transition as a PropScorer endorsement. It is Nexgenโs stated replacement path for Semi-Live traders. Compare live firms on PropScorer rankings and read payout rules before you buy another eval. Diversify. One processor outage should not wipe your whole book.
