FundedNext Is the First Prop Trading Firm to Integrate MCP, Bringing AI to Trader Accounts
FundedNext has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, becoming the first proprietary trading firm to let traders connect their accounts directly to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. The integration gives traders real-time, conversational access to their account data, from balances and trade history to payout eligibility and rule compliance, across all FundedNext account types.
Alongside the MCP launch, FundedNext has also rolled out Clarity Cards, a transparency feature that surfaces rule violations and payout adjustments on the dashboard in real time.
MCP Integration and Live Account Access
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that allows AI assistants to connect with external platforms and access live data securely. You have probably seen it adopted across various SaaS tools and developer platforms over the past year. The idea is simple: instead of copying data from one place and pasting it into another, the AI assistant can pull the information it needs directly from the source.
For prop traders, the relevant source is their trading account. And that is exactly what the FundedNext MCP server enables.
Once connected, your AI assistant has read-only access to your FundedNext account data. That means you can ask it questions in plain language and get answers based on your actual, real-time metrics. No more switching between dashboard tabs to cross-reference drawdown limits, payout eligibility, or rule compliance across multiple accounts.
What the Integration Covers
The integration covers all FundedNext account types, including CFD accounts on MT4, MT5, cTrader, and Match-Trader, as well as Futures accounts on Tradovate. Challenge accounts, funded accounts, free trials, and competition accounts are all supported.
Here are some examples of what you can ask your AI assistant once connected:
- โข "How are all my accounts doing right now? What is my total profit and which account is performing best?"
- โข "Why did my account get breached, and which specific rule did I violate?"
- โข "How much daily and maximum loss room do I have left on account [login number]?"
- โข "Am I at risk of failing the consistency rule on my next payout?"
- โข "When will I be eligible for my next withdrawal?"
The assistant pulls your data directly from FundedNext and responds with account-specific answers. If you manage several accounts at different stages, this is where the integration becomes especially useful. You can ask for cross-account comparisons, identify which accounts are closest to breaching a rule, or check payout eligibility across the board, all in one conversation.
Security and Access
The connection is strictly read-only. Your AI assistant can view your account data, but it cannot place trades, modify settings, or take any action on your behalf.
Authentication is handled through OAuth 2.0, which means you sign in through FundedNext directly. Your password is never shared with the AI assistant. If you want to disconnect, you can revoke access at any time from your assistant's settings or from your FundedNext dashboard.
The integration is also completely free for all traders, with no subscription or usage limits.
Getting Connected
Regardless of which AI assistant you use, the setup follows the same pattern and takes about two minutes:
- 1. Open your assistant's connector or MCP settings (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible client).
- 2. Add a new connector, name it FundedNext, and paste the server URL: https://mcp.fundednext.com
- 3. Approve access through the FundedNext authentication screen.
- 4. Start asking questions about your accounts.

Clarity Cards for Rule Transparency
While the MCP integration is the bigger headline, another recent FundedNext update is worth highlighting. Clarity Cards are a new dashboard feature that shows traders whether they have triggered any rule violations and what the impact will be on their payout, all visible in real time rather than at the point of withdrawal.
There are five cards covering quick strike trades (CFD), margin usage (CFD), the 3% risk limit (CFD), news trading adjustments (CFD), and micro-scalping (Futures). Each card shows the specific violation, which trades triggered it, and the consequence for the current cycle. A breakdown link at withdrawal shows exactly what was deducted and why.
The practical benefit is straightforward: traders can spot issues mid-cycle and adjust, rather than discovering a reduced payout amount with no context at the point of withdrawal.
As the first prop firm to ship an MCP integration, FundedNext is moving ahead of the industry in how traders can access and interact with their account data. Combined with Clarity Cards, these updates point toward a platform that is increasingly built around real-time transparency and trader autonomy.
